Season Highlights

The Falcon Varity is 40-5 & the Falcon JV is 13-1 on the season as of 2-08-2008

Week of 11/18/07 -  Seniors Miles Shaw & Pedram Rahmatabadi set a new school record with 11 takedowns in a single match!  Senior Scott LaChapelle sets the school record for quickest pin at :06 seconds.

Week of 11/25/07 - The Falcons beat Morehead & Davie County.  Senior Scott Norris records his 100th career pin.

Week of 12/2/07 - The Falcon JV's finish 2nd at the East Wake Tournament with 4 Champions and 21 place winners.

Week of 12/24/07 - Senior Miles Shaw wins the Tiger Holiday Classic Tournament. 

Week of 12/31/07 - Seniors Brett Farina & Mikal Mannan record their 100th career wins.  Scott LaChapelle records his 50th career pin.  The Falcons win the Sony Inskip Tournament.

Week of 1/7/08 - The Falcons win a crucial conference match against Fuquay-Varina.  Senior Miles Shaw records his 100th career win and breaks the school record for most takedowns in a season.  Pedram Rahmatabadi, Miles Shaw & Scott LaChapelle take first place honors at the Take Down Report tournament.

Week of 1/28/08 - Preston Mitchum wins the Tri-8 Conference tournament.  Coach Bunn is named Conference Coach of the Year.  The following wrestlers were named All-Conference:  Mikail Mannan, Scott Norris, Pedram Rahmatabadi, Brett Farina, Joey Baird, Miles Shaw, Scott Lachapelle, Preston Mitchum, & Mike Burdett.  Chris Godfrey, Kenny Buchanan, & Alex Chapla were named Honorable Mention All-Conference.  Steven Gutierrez, Alex Jin, Sam Latham, Jared Compiano, & Nate Reynolds earned JV Conference Champion honors.

Week of 2/04/08 - The Falcons compete in the State Dual Team Championships and wrestle their way to the State Semi-finals.  They defeat:  New Bern 26-25, Leesville Road 46-22, & Chapel Hill 35-28 before losing to Cary in the semi-finals 28-39. 

Week of 2/11/08 - The Team continues to set records at the Regional Tournament this weekend.  8 Falcon wrestlers secure a birth in the State Championships next week, while finishing 2nd in the tournament.  Miles Shaw wins the Regional tournament while tying the school record of 59 wins in a season and setting the school record for Takedowns in a season with 192.  Pedram Rahmatabadi & Preston Mitchum record their 100th career wins.

Conference

Tri-Eight Conference:
Apex, Athens Drive, Cary, Fuquay-Varina, Green Hope, Lee County, Middle Creek, & Panther Creek. Two teams will represent the Tri-Eight in the State Dual Team Championships.
