 Alumni Night was held on Thursday, January 3rd at the Cary match with a great turnout.  The following Alumni wrestlers / managers were recognized and received a free tee-shirt:  Chris Andre, Bill Blackburn, Brian Taylor, Aaron Sibley, Mike Rafetto, John Poetzinger, Ryan McNamara, Navid Sharifian, Mike Kowalczyk, Mustafa Mannan, Paul Godfrey, Jen Hankin, James Wilcox, Jon Neal, Stewart Hodges, and Alan Heiden.

 
     
 

Nick Cujas  (Class of 2006)  Currently majoring in Construction Management at UNC Charlotte, Nick is also the Professional Development chairman in Theta Tau, the Professional Engineering fraternity, as well as secretary of the UNCC Snowboard Club. ncujas@nc.rr.com

Markita Landry  (Class of 2002)  Graduated from UNC-CH with a double major in Chemistry and Physics, and is currently enrolled at the University of Illinois working towards a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics.  Markita plans to become a university professor and researcher.  landry2@uiuc.edu

Bill Blackburn   (Class of 2007)  Billy is currently enrolled in the Mechanical Engineering program at UNCC.   wblackb3@uncc.edu

Ryan Bowen (Class of 2006)  Ryan is a sophomore at ECU, currently majoring in Business Management.  He is the Treasurer of Coach Bunn's ('81-'85) old fraternity - Phi Kappa Tau.  rmbowen@gmail.com

Stewart Hodges (Class of 2002) Stewart graduated from Appalachian State University in 2006 with a degree in Criminal Justice.  He is currently working for Lowe’s Home Improvement as a Loss Prevention Manager.  Stewart resides in Cary at the “White House” with roommate Jon Neal.  shodges72@alumni.appstate.edu

Mike Kowalczyk (Class of 2006) Mike is currently enrolled as a dual student at Wake Technical Community College and East Carolina University’s online program.  He will be a full time student at ECU in the fall of 2008.  Mike plans to study Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management.  He is currently serving as assistant wrestling coach for the Green Hope Falcons and also works part-time as a substitute teacher for the WCPSS.  msk6910@gmail.com

Jon Neal (Class of 2002) Jon received a BS Degree in Computer Science from Gardner-Webb University in 2006 and is currently employed with Schwab Performance Technologies in financial software support.  jon.neal@gmail.com

Marc O’Brien (Class of 2006)Marc is now stationed at the U.S. Air Force Hospital in Colorado Springs as a Medical Logistics Specialist.  He will be stationed there for the next two years.  He just received notice that he will be promoted to Airman on February 18th.  He is doing extremely well and loves the Air Force.  He sends his congratulations and best wishes to the team!

Mike O’Brien (Class of 2004) Mike is on track to graduate in May with his B.S. in Marketing. He is currently working in a part time role as the Director or Marketing Development for all of the Moe's Southwest Grills in Wilmington, N.C. and has developed a highly-praised market development plan for the local restaurants. He also extends his congratulations to the team on a great season and wishes them good luck in the post-season. 

Chris Rafetto (Class of 2005) Chris is now playing in two bands and has live shows every weekend.  You can see him play anywhere from southern GA to NY City.  Original music (THE MOTION) can be found at www.themotionrock.com and www.myspace.com/themotion .  His all 90's Party Band (THE BUZZ) can be found at www.90stributeband.com and plays at Fraternities, private events and bars all over the southeast.  Chris is also teaching bass guitar and acoustic guitar lessons to young aspiring musicians.

Thomas Saile (Class of 2002) Thomas graduated from NC State in May 2007 with a B.S. in Business Management and Minor in Sociology.  He is currently living in Raleigh and working for a marketing company as a Retail Sales Merchandiser for Gatorade, Quaker, and Tropicana products.  tcsaile@gmail.com

 Mike Whitaker (Class of 2003) Mike is a senior at ECU majoring in Biology. He's also working part-time as a Supervisor at Sam's Club in Greenville. After graduation in May, Mike plans to attend chiropractic school. MikeW21@aol.com

Andrew Zawierucha (Class of 2004)  Andrew will graduate in May from Gardner-Webb University with a degree in Religious Studies with a concentration in Biblical Languages and a minor in English.  He is currently seeking MA programs to continue his studies.  polishpower56@hotmail.com
